On October 14, 2024, the German Institute of Food and Technology e.V. organized the first multi-actor workshop under work package 1 in Quakenbrück, Germany, engaging around 30 participants from research, industry, start-ups, and academia.
The workshop focused on the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities (SWOT) of valorising the ecosystem services and benefits associated with legumes (for example, economic, environmental, and social/dietary), plus their quantification across legume-based value chains.
This approach aims to understand legume integration across the value chain and foster collaboration and innovation across the legume-based businesses.
