To help optimise the benefits of locally-grown legumes, the legumES project is developing an “AgriToolkit” to help assess sustainability. In the Toolkit will be the “Ecosystem Service Navigator” to aid legume-centred decision-making. Also, a “Catalogue of Indicators” for ecosystem monitoring to help tailor best practices to local conditions.
These tools are aimed to help farmers, researchers, and decision-makers unlock the full potential of locally-grown legumes – to foster ecologically sustainable feed- and food-systems – including overall farm resilience, so economically too!
